NEW YORK GROOVE WINS GLORIOUS SONG STAKES, NOTCHES SECOND STAKES WIN

Bonne Chance bred NEW YORK GROOVE has won her second stakes win to remain undefeated when she crossed the wire in front in the Glorious Song Stakes at Woodbine on November 3rd. The daughter of Verrazano stalked just off the pace before easily drawing clear under the guidance of Pablo Morales. This marks her second stakes win of the year, the first coming last month when she won the Presque Isle Debutante Stakes in similar fashion. New York Groove is owned by Commonwealth New Era Racing and is trained by Mike Trombetta. She was a $95,000 yearling purchase from Gainesway’s consignment in the 2018 edition of the Keeneland September sale. She is out of the Pulpit mare, Back Up Preacher, who is a full sister to G3 winner, G1 placed Melhor Ainda.
